Remembering Mary

Mary Valerie Frederickson Augustyn passed away suddenly on November 6, 2020 at her home in Denver.

Mary was first and foremost a wife, mom and grandma. She fiercely loved her family and friends. She loved daily walks, snow skiing, wakeboarding, hiking, playing piano, cooking and making messes with her grandkids. She had an adventurous spirit and was always willing to try new things. She also loved her work in the field of Domestic Violence. Her goal was world peace.

We created this site to honor her life, share our memories, and let the world know what she meant to us all. Her spirit and our memories together will remain with us forever.

Mary’s Mission Statement

  • My family and friends are always important in my life. Spending time with them, connecting with them is top priority. Larry, Amy, Matt, Cecelia, and Valerie come first.
  • My home is a place of welcome and joy for everyone who enters. It is comfortable and reasonably clean.
  • Every day I exercise and take care of my body, heart, mind and spirit. I eat healthy foods that nourish me. I am aware of what is occurring within every aspect of me.
  • I make time everyday for connection with God, people who are important to me, nature, animals, the universe and myself.
  • My mind and heart are open to new ideas and experiences.
  • I seek and embrace people with different ideas, perspectives, cultures, and characteristics than me.
  • I set goals for my career and take steps to achieve those goals.
  • Creativity is essential for my well-being and I seek a creative outlet in many ways.
  • Money is merely a tool and not my master.
  • I set time aside every day to laugh and have fun.
  • I contribute to my community through awareness and action.
  • My motto is to Love, Live, Laugh and Learn.
